Woman Killed, 11 Injured in Medical Center Bus Accident
A deadly bus accident kills one and injures 11 others Wednesday in the Texas Medical Center.
The accident happened on South Braeswood at Holcombe around 6 p.m. Houston Fire officials say the accident may have been caused by a medical condition causing the driver to lose control.
The shuttle bus crashed into a pole pinning an unidentified woman between the bus and the pole.
Witnesses say several people tried to move the van to free the woman, but she died from her injuries.
Eleven of the 17 passengers on board suffered various injuries and were taken to the hospital.
The shuttle is used by Medical Center employees to get around the campus. The crash remains under investigation.
