The Carters are in the spotlight this weekend – not for any more elevator fights, but for their “On The Run” Tour which kicked off in Miami Wednesday night. They head into the ‘Nati on Saturday night and then on to L.A. presumably where they are both up for six BET Awards – the night’s biggest nominees.
New Edition won’t be at the BET Awards this year – they’re on the road on the “All Six” Tour, so candy girls, get ready to sing along to all their hits. If you’d rather spend a hot summer weekend at the multiplex, Transformers gets a reboot starring Mark Wahlberg and Oscar winner Octavia Spencer joins Chris Evans in Snowpiercers, an action movie about a train that can travel the globe – well, whatever’s left of it.
