Common & John Legend Release Video For “Glory”
Glory!
“Selma is now,” Common raps as John Legend plays the piano on “Glory.” The powerful civil rights anthem not only won our hearts but took home a Golden Globe for “Best Original Song.”
The visual features clips from the Ava Duvernay-directed film and they’re just as compelling as Legend’s soulful chorus.
In an unprecedented effort led by a team of African-American business leaders in New York, organizations across the U.S. coordinated a massive national campaign to find African-American business leaders to underwrite free admission to “Selma” for students around the country.

YaYa DaCosta Performs “I Will Always Love You”
We’re all eagerly anticipating the premiere of the Angela Bassett directed biopic, “Whitney,” airing on Lifetime January 17 at 8 pm, and this clip just added to our high hopes. We’ve even dedicated a special tribute wall where fans can remember their favorite memory of the late singer, here.
Yaya Decosta stars as Whitney in the TV film that is sure to generate much chatter around Whitney and Bobby’s tumultuous marriage. Despite the Houston’s family protest of the flick, Debra Cox provides the vocals where Lifetime was unable to secure rights and the “Nobody Supposed To Be Here,” singer blows it out of the water.
Check out the exclusive clip of Yaya channeling Whitney though Debra, here.
