Your GAS is Trying to Tell You Something.

Seriously this post is real, it is not a joke because over the past week my 2-year old has had some of the worst smelling gas known to man.

“My tummy hurts Mommy,” is what he kept repeating all week long. I’m so glad he is at an age where he can now tell me when something is wrong, however he is not yet able to tell me exactly what that things is. Lucky for him, and by process of elimination, mixed with foul orders coming from his small self, I guessed that this gas was related to something internal, which was causing his discomfort. I knew those French fries and refusing to eat his vegetables was going to catch up with him.

Low and behold blackdoctor.org has shared that several things can lead to gas, including bacteria, eating too quickly (which he does often), milk, hormonal changes and constipation. The constipation is what I attributed to my son’s gassy problem. I counteracted this with giving him prune juice and rotating with a homemade juice blend of beets, spinach, apples, carrots and kale (also flushed his system all week with plenty of water).
