The W.K. Kellogg Foundation is donating millions of dollars to coalitions and organizations in Mississippi and New Orleans to boost educational and employment opportunities for boys and young men of color. Mississippi was targeted for its devastatingly low graduation rates for men of color—51 percent for Black men. The programs will offer resources and opportunities for economic and educational advancement and political engagement as well as provide internships in an array of fields like media and the culinary arts.
