It is officially Halloween season again, and that means it is time for you to stock up on the lollipops, chocolate bars, and other sweet treats. (Well… unless you’re one of those weird houses that gave out pennies.)
Of course, kids are most likely very picky when it comes to candy. Not everyone is going to like everything, so it’s all about the best candy for your neighborhood kids. So…what should you get?
Food delivery service DoorDash has provided a list of the most popular candies nationwide and by state. The data is based on the top purchases in the month leading up to and ending on Halloween 2023 (10/1/23 to 10/31/23).
It comes as no surprise that Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups is at the top of the list. It is the most popular candy in 24 states, including North Carolina.
A more shocking surprise is the candy in the #2 spot: Gushers! The juice-in-the-middle gummy (specifically, its Tropical Fruit flavor) is the most popular candy in 15 states.
